Chiropractic Wellness

Physical Trauma, Mental Stress, and Chemical Toxins are constantly trying to break down the body causing undetected long lasting damage to the nerves, muscles and joints all affecting and causing immobility and improper function of the spine. Chiropractic is a preventative health care that allows proper spinal alignment and movement that promotes performance enhancement in all aspects of daily life while achieving healthier active lives.

Sports Myofascial Release Treatment (SASTM)

Myofascial release therapy, using Instrument tools effectively break down and release chronic soft-tissue conditions, fascial restrictions, muscular adhesion's and scar tissue. The ergonomic design of these instruments (Sound Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (SASTM) or (Graston Technique) provides the clinician with the ability to locate restrictions through sound waves. This allows the clinician to treat the affected area with the appropriate amount of pressure, due to square surface concept.

The introduction of controlled microtrauma to affected soft tissue structure causes the stimulation of a local inflammatory response. Microtrauma initiates reabsorption of inappropriate fibrosis or excessive scar tissue and facilitates a cascade of healing activities resulting in remodeling of affected soft tissue structures. Adhesions within the soft tissue which may have developed as a result of surgery, immobilization, repeated overuse strain or other mechanisms, are broken down allowing full functional restoration to occur.

Rapid Release Technology (RRT)

Rapid Release Technology targets scar tissue that forms in the body as a temporary patching mechanism for wounds caused by surgery, trauma or repetitive stress. Scar tissues that connect tissues that are not normally connected are called adhesions. Adhesions can spread entrapping nerves, causing pain or numbness, and limiting range of motion. Undiagnosed pain and restricted mobility are likely to be caused by scar tissue adhesions.

Scar tissue therapy is focused on relief of soft tissue problems caused by adhesions. Examples of adhesion problems include carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonosis, muscle spasms, trapped nerves, range of motion contractures, neuromas, headaches, Temporomandibular (TMJ) disorders, knee problems, tennis elbow, as well as back, shoulder and ankle pain. The Rapid Release Technology (RRT) therapy device targets brittle scar tissue with the shearing force of planar wave energy that passes safely through soft tissue and is readily absorbed by scar tissue. RRT uses the optimum frequency that resonates with scar tissue for maximum effectiveness. With only a 2mm stroke, this therapy feels good and is completely safe.

Muscle Release Therapy

This soft tissue technique is a unique injury therapy that combines compression, extension, motion, and breath to alleviate pain. Scar tissue  and adhesion's are broken up, the muscle is lengthened, muscle memory is restored and relief from pain often starts immediately.

Cox Vertebral Intersegmental Flexion/Distraction

Flexion-Distraction is an effective, efficient and gentle method of disc decompression using a specially designed chiropractic table that bends the client at the waist facilitating isolated vertebral separation and gentle stretching to the surrounding musculature. This technique works well for clients with current or past disc problems, may help relieve pain from disc herniations, failed back surgery syndromes, leg pain, sciatica, neck pain, ruptured discs, herniated discs, slipped discs, acute and chronic low back pain, facet syndrome, bulging discs, scoliosis, sprain/strain, disc prolapse as well as a means to aid in the prevention of disc problems in those predisposed to such conditions.

Game Ready Cold Compression Therapy

Game Ready cold compression therapy integrates proven cold and compression therapies in a revolutionary treatment system that sets a new standard of care in acute injury like motor vehicle accidents and post-operative surgical recovery.

The therapy simultaneously applies active pneumatic (air) compression and adjustable cold therapies to reduce swelling, minimize pain, and speed and enhance your body’s natural healing abilities. This revolutionary therapy is used world wide and by many including all major sports teams.

Electrical Muscle Stimulation

Electrical stimulation uses an electrical current to cause a single muscle or a group of muscles to contract. By placing electrodes on the skin in various locations one can recruit the appropriate muscle fibers. Contracting the muscle via electrical stimulation helps strengthen the affected muscle. Along with increasing muscle strength, the contraction of the muscle also promotes blood supply to the area that assists in healing.

Electrical Muscle Stimulation is an exceptional way to help the body in the healing process.

This is accomplished by sending a very small electrical current into the affected soft tissue injury or muscle spasm. The therapy utilizes this current in an effort to help reduce swelling and release trigger points that may have the muscle locked up. It does this by helping the body to release natural relievers of pain often referred to as endorphins.

This is a great therapy if there is a spasm in a back or neck muscle. It works well in relaxing the muscle and allowing it to return to its normal state rather quickly. Short therapy sessions are excellent at facilitating healing from acute and chronic pain.

Custom Fit Orthotics

Your feet have a direct impact on the rest of your body. Like the foundation of a house, your feet support the weight of everything above them. When a small problem develops in your feet, the subtle change in the way you walk will cause a chain reaction in your posture and walking mechanics.

These changes can put stress on joints higher up in your body, and lead to more serious problems. Through our computerized Biomechanical Foot & Gait Analysis we can custom fit supportive orthotics to help rebalance your feet and reduce pain and discomfort on the ankles, knees, hips, and spine by enhancing your body’s natural movements. For additional information check The Orthotic Group.
